Dynamite Cuts 45s series is proud to release two rare-groove club classics by the Voices of East Harlem. And what voices! This legendary gospel band’s “Wanted Dead or Alive” is a huge club Anthem, which has stood the test of time; written back in 1973. But the hidden gem, “Little People,” on the flip, is the sweet icing on the cake. The Young Disciples sampled a skit from it, amongst others. This powerful story-song is my personal favorite cut from the LP. The words are still true today. Both tracks arranged by Mr. Leroy Hutson

The bass and its laid-back jazz groove begin, then BOOOOM!! Let’s shift it up a gear, Rhoades clav vibe and super funky drums set the pace, with a wonderful added funky horns section Smokin’. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eOnce the Flute (the one and only Sam most) comes in this track has taken me to the clouds and back. The LP was first released in 1981 along with a single.- which is now a mega-rare collector’s items; selling for £200 plus. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eSteve Parks’ big song on this LP is the epitome of Rare groove music in the 90s. almost every club and radio would play this every night – it would be banging out of The Mud Club, Astoria, The Wag and all the other hot, sweaty, but very brilliant, clubs of the 80’s and 90’s. This is definitely on the ultimate soundtrack to that funky era. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis one-off LP and it iconic cover by Steve Parks has been reissued before but never as a 7” and never with a full colour sleeve, Dynamite Cuts’ mini version does both, delivering op-point artwork and finely tuned mastering. Steve Parks is a very private man; this iconic cover only happened because his friend Rico, who coerce him into wearing the shirt as Steve didn’t like it at all.
