Dynamite Cuts have selected two of his early jazz gems which just stand out. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eFirst up is one of my favourite original jazz tracks written by Mr Grusin “Kaleidoscope” and what a stunning jazz track it is. I can’t help but smile and jazz step around, whenever I hear it. For me, it’s one of the greatest all-grooving, classic Jazz-dance, mover - up-tempo, with all the trimmings, great solos and that sound – oooff! \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eOn the B side - The jazz classic by Coltrane “Straight, No Chaser”, this version is for me a cut above. Let’s shift it up a gear, Rhoades clav vibe and super funky drums set the pace, with a wonderful added funky horns section Smokin’. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eOnce the Flute (the one and only Sam most) comes in this track has taken me to the clouds and back. This is definitely on the ultimate soundtrack to that funky era. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis one-off LP and it iconic cover by Steve Parks has been reissued before but never as a 7” and never with a full colour sleeve, Dynamite Cuts’ mini version does both, delivering op-point artwork and finely tuned mastering.
